Although we are a public stable, our horses are OUR KIDS. They are treated with the love & care - these magnificent & intelligent creatures deserve.

We have owned most of these horses several years, & have trained alot of them also.

We usually do not saddle up the horses, unless we have reservations. HOWEVER, 3 can be ready (2 guests & guide)-
in 1 to 2 hrs, depending on how muddy they are & where they are. BUT - the horses Lodgings, for now, are at the neighbors & not at our house;  & we will NOT be meeting at the neighbors ---- so, we have to bring them to our house 1st. Yes - this is a headache - but unless someone donates alot of $$ for a real barn on our own property .... it's the best we could do, for right now.

When not needed, they are outside being horses - if it's not too hot, buggy, cold, rainy, or stormy.

Between rides, they are usually in stalls/shelters or under trees - out of the sun, & are given hay & water.

We do not ride mid-day in summer, on days that are extremely hot & humid; or in iminent storms.

The horses get frequent baths all season, to remove sweat & keep their skin healthy.

They do not get sold off in the winter, traded for new in the spring; or any such thing.

They usually retire in our care (they've earned it).
Or they may wind up in the hands of friends - - -
to give them their final vacation before the Rainbow Brigde.
